God Bless Collin County Where EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE either won outright or got more votes than other candidates (in the multi-County or Statewide races).

I'm Roger Barone from Plano running for the Collin County District 3 Congressional seat - FOR 2020.

I’m an independent thinking (beholden to no one) common sense compassionate constitutional conservative pledging to support (and not OBSTRUCT) the President’s America First agenda while honoring and implementing the principles of the Tea Party - fiscal and personal responsibility, the rule of law, national sovereignty, limited government, free markets, etc.

I have my finger on the pulse of America and will fight not only for all Texans in Collin County (be they the 1% or the other 99%) but also for 100% of Americans. I don't believe in generalities and vague POLITICIAN answers and will take a stand (or draw a line in the sand if necessary) and fight for what's right and fair and that which will benefit all Americans.

The theme of my campaign is "Fairness For Americans First". It begins with 4 pillars of local, national, & global issues I am focusing on that will:

1. Create and preserve lots of jobs and wealth - FOR AMERICANS.

2. Reduce governmental restrictions (and associated costs) on the free flow of goods, capital, and services and return fairness, sanity, and transparency to public and private interactions and especially capital markets.

3. Better foster an environment that increases the ability to compete on an equal footing back to America.

4. Most importantly, reverse intrusions of and restrictions on our personal liberty.

I'm self-funding my campaign (and the first congressional candidate in U.S. history to pledge to take NO salary, pension, or lobbying payments – EVER) but welcome any support anyone feels compelled to offer - either in time, treasure, effort, or advice.

The one thing I am specifically asking for is feedback on the stated agenda and positions I've posted here on this website.

I've identified several national issues that haven't gotten the attention they deserve that if addressed properly will create many jobs and increases in the wealth of many Americans while simultaneously reducing or eliminating unnecessary governmental rules and regulations (as well as private unfair practices) which currently serve to stifle or prevent accountability, transparency, or the ability to compete globally on an equal footing for those that are citizens of this country.

Too often elected and appointed officials (as well as hired civil servants - operative word SERVANTS) forget that the first duty of government includes preserving individual liberty. To make matters worse they seem to find endless ways to not only fail to protect it but more so to limit and restrict it while simultaneously taking more and more out of our pockets with less and less due process. This is a trend that desperately needs to be reversed.

Caution must also be exercised when elected state officials seek national office. While they may be fairly well suited for their state role, that won't necessarily translate into success on a national level - especially when they are that much more far removed from their support system.

A Congressman needs to be concerned with issues that affect their districts and states but must also decide on matters that affect all Americans. Someone who's views resulted from a lifetime of too narrow a focus may not be able to successfully make the leap.

Any legislator can put forth or support a bill that their conservative constituents like. A good one can get their conservative colleagues to support it. A great one can get their liberal colleagues to support it. How has your legislator performed in this regard? Were they able to get bipartisan support for the things that were important to you? Did they succeed in actually getting laws passed that you wanted or did they LEAVE you "wanting more"? Were arms sufficiently twisted so that the conservative agenda was furthered or was the agenda you supported stymied resulting in its withering and demise?

Additionally, there are many "tells" one can look for to see if their legislator is a member of the swamp. One of which is them giving their endorsement to someone running for office solely based on the "good ole boy" network and their prior or pre-existing relationships without any effort to truly vet the competition in the race or acknowledgement of even the possibility that someone else might be a better choice. Honestly, only members of the swamp would welcome an endorsement from the swamp. BEWARE those that tout endorsements of other politicians instead of business and community leaders and regular citizens. Sorry, but I'll pass!

Speak up. Speak out. Take a Stand. Get Involved. Serve.
